What’s your travel experience?

Being born and based in Nepal, I have had the opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage and breathtaking and diverse landscapes of my home country. I have traveled extensively within Nepal, immersing myself in its natural beauty and diverse culture within the community. Nepal is famous for its mountains and temples, but many people discount the culture and heritage of its inhabitants.

I have also ventured into other countries, experiencing their unique cultures and cuisines. While my travels have taken me to a few destinations beyond Nepal, my passion for vegan travel has allowed me to explore various vegan-friendly places and connect with like-minded individuals around the world.

My travel escapades are not just about ticking off the main tourist attractions; they’re about immersing myself in the natural beauty, connecting with locals, and unraveling the stories that each place holds. Whether it’s savoring delectable vegan delights or strolling through historical lanes, my passion for travel knows no bounds.

Through my travel experiences, I have gained a deeper appreciation for the importance of sustainable and compassionate travel, and I am committed to promoting veganism and supporting vegan travelers through the Vegan Travel Association.

What do you do at Vegan Travel Association?

I represent Vegan Travel Asia by VegVoyages at the Vegan Travel Association. We are the founding members of the Association and proud to create vegan synergy between the Travel Company and Travel Agents to make vegan traveling the new normal.

Tell us a little about your company.

Vegan Travel Asia by VegVoyages is a travel company based out of the USA specializing in culturally immersive tours in Asia. The company was founded 19 years ago, and we have been working closely with local communities to create tours that focus on bridging cultural gaps through storytelling. Our tours can be summarized as community-based storytelling, meets travel, meets veganism – all in one.

Carryon or check-in?

Depends on where and how long I’m traveling, if it’s international travel. I like to do check-in bag and carryon both. But if I am traveling within the country for purpose of hiking or trekking or if its remote area, or if it’s short travel, I’d definitely do carryon only, otherwise I prefer to do both.

Do you use packing cubes?

Yes, I do like using packing cubes. I like to be organized. It makes everything easier for me to access and things don’t get messy when I need to find something.

Rolling or folding clothes?

I prefer to roll clothes, it saves a lot of space.

Describe your perfect vacation in one sentence

My perfect vacation would be the one with nature. Sunrise in mountains or sunset in beaches are the best moments for me, connecting with like-minded individuals is an add-on.
